Musicians and artists from the Cork area have supported Mallow Hub attendees to create lyrics and music showcasing individual talents, skill and creativity. 18:00 – Still Life Painting Exhibition – West End Art Studios
Mallow Arts Festival opens on Wednesday July 20th @ 6pm at the West End Art Centre (P51N4FR) with an art exhibition of still life paintings by professional artists from 11 different countries. The exhibition is curated by Colman and Marie Dalton who had an art gallery at the Clock House, Mallow in the 1990s and early 2000s. The paintings have been generously loaned by a number of private collectors.
The artists selected have works in many of the major art museums i.e. National Gallery of Ireland, Crawford Museum, Louvre Museum in Paris etc. Some of the
paintings are from the 19 th century but most are from the 20th and 21st centuries.
The exhibition will run from 20th of July to Saturday 30th July. It is hoped to raise funds for the Cork Simon Community by having a raffle and also through
voluntary contributions during the exhibition.
