11:00 – Me & The Moon – Hibernian Hotel

Process-led art workshops designed to stimulate children’s curiosity, creativity and confidence. 30 minute clay and print workshops for children aged 6-12, will kick off on the hour and younger children aged 2+ are welcome to drop-in at any time up to 3PM to paint at our easels. Workshops are free and no booking is necessary. Workshops will be on a first come, first served basis.

12:00 – Digital Scavenger Hunt – Festival Office, 49 Bank Place

Hosted by Ronan Leonard. A family activity for 4-7 year olds and 8-11 year olds. Find a list of items in Mallow and photograph them using a digital camera or smartphone. Duration 30-40 minutes.

12:00 – The Last Prince – Mallow Castle

A day-long living history display telling the story of the O’Sullivan-Beara march from Cork to Leitrim in 1603. Educational, family friendly and interactive, this is a hands-on, first-person orientated style of storytelling. See the clothing, equipment, arms, armour and food of the period. Admission free.

13:00 – Dave Skinner – The Globe Cafe

Blues/jazz in the afternoon.

14:00 – Uilleann Ceoil – Bank Place

Trad, ballads and sing-alongs.

14:30 – Face Painting – Main Street

Two teams of face-painters will be located on the Main Street to give you a festival look.

15:00 – Moonshine Balloon Magic – Main Street

Magic with Victor, Ireland’s leading balloon artist and entertainer.

15:00 – Havana – Bank Place

Pop/chart hits from this up and coming band.

15:00 – The Mad Hatter’s Moving Tea Party – Main Street

Presented by the Doneraile “Art For The Heart” group. Come along and engage with Alice, The Queen of Hearts, The Mad Hatter, The Duchess, The White Rabbit & The Cheshire Cat. You might even get a free bun!

15:30 – Lucky Dip Poetry – Main Street

Pick a poem, read it, and get a prize.

16:00 – 18.00 Paint & Sip – Hibernian Hotel

Workshop hosted by Sinead McCarthy. Relax and release your inner artist as we paint away our stresses with a beverage of your own. Trad , ballads and some rock ‘n’ roll from Johnny, Dan and Jonathan.

18:00 – Hank & Co. – Hawks Bar/Plaza

Hank Wedel and Doneraile’s “Art For The Heart” group will invoke the folk memory of Mallow town and conjure up Rakes and Wenches in front of the Clock House to dance, sing songs and carry on to celebrate the release of (We Are) The Rakes Of Mallow.

21:00 – The John Connolly Band – The Gallery

The John Connolly Big Band, featuring vocalist Linda Galvin, with a selection of jazz/blues classics.
